Please contact the area coordinator for further information and assistance in planning your Academic Lodge program.  Keep in mind, there are three "tiers" for academic Lodges that you may wish to consider:

  1. Tier 1: traditional approach where a new Academic Lodge is purpose built from the ground up, drawing its membership from students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the university.
  2. Tier 2: where an existing Lodge is repurposed to become an Academic Lodge.
  3. Tier 3: "Square and Compass Club" which is an on-campus club operating under university rules that provides an opportunity for Masons to meet and for students to learn more about Freemasonry.  This can be the first step towards a new Academic Lodge.
