Is there really a lodge 49?  How about the Ancient & Benevolent Order of the Lynx?  What about all the blindfolds and the silly hats?  The rings?  The crazy-cray symbols and rituals?  Are those real?  Where does the fantasy end and the truth begin? The new hit AMC show Lodge 49 starring Wyatt Russell has stirred a great deal of interest in traditional fraternal organizations, especially Freemasonry.  The images and mysterious symbols in the show  are based on masonic symbols and traditions, but plenty of poetic license has been taken to help tell the story of a surfer named "Dud" who is trying to connect to his late father by connecting to his father's fraternal lodge.
